International Conference on Biophysics and Biomedical Sciences: The 64th Annual Meeting of the Biophysical Society of Japan and the Federation Meeting of Korean Societies for Biomolecular and Biophysical Sciences (ICBBS2026) Call for Symposium Proposals

2025 November 11 For MEMBER

Chair of ICBBS2026
Sam-Yong Park (Yokohama City University)
We are pleased to invite symposium proposals for International Conference on Biophysics and Biomedical Sciences (ICBBS2026).
The Biophysical Society of Japan has regularly invited proposals for symposia at its annual meetings to reflect the broad range of research activities of its members and to promote active scientific exchange. A symposium is positioned as a forum where researchers share cutting-edge findings and engage in interdisciplinary discussions on specific research themes. Beyond individual presentations, symposia aim to provide opportunities to explore future directions in biophysics as a field.
At ICBBS 2026, we will also invite proposals for symposia. This year, we especially encourage joint symposium proposals organized by researchers from Korea and Japan. We particularly welcome proposals that aim to strengthen international collaboration and create new interdisciplinary research areas.
Accepted symposia will be positioned as major sessions in the conference program, and the organizers will be responsible for inviting speakers and planning the discussions. We look forward to receiving your active and enthusiastic proposals.

About Organizers and Proposed Speakers
●It is recommended that organizers and speakers include participants from both the Japanese and Korean sides. Applications without both are still accepted, but proposals including participants from both countries will be given priority.

●Regarding gender balance, the meeting aims to meet international standards. Please include at least one female speaker among the proposed speakers whenever possible.

●We welcome active submissions from female and early-career members.

●The meeting will be held in person; online presentations via Zoom, etc., are generally not permitted.

●To avoid overlap across multiple symposia, please obtain tentative consent from speakers. (Presentations at the Biophysics Seminar will be treated separately.)

●In case of many submissions or overlap in content/speakers with other symposia, the Organizing Committee of ICBBS2026 may request consolidation of proposals.

●Invited speakers who are not members of any of the jointly organized or co-organized societies listed above do not have to pay the annual meeting registration fee, but social event fees are applicable.
