Sympathy for those affected by the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake

2024 January 25 For MEMBER

We would like to express our deepest sympathy to all those affected by the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake as well as to those members of the Society who are affiliated with research institutions near the affected areas. If the Society can provide any assistance to the members affected by the earthquake, please do not hesitate to contact the Society secretariat or the members of the board of the Society with your requests.
To support our student members who are affiliated with research institutions close to the affected areas, the Society plans to waive the student fee for the early-bird registration for the 21st IUPAB and the 62nd BSJ joint congress (IUPAB2024). Please check the Society's website for more information.
For international researchers planning to travel to Japan to attend IUPAB2024, please note that there is no problem in traveling to and staying at the conference venues including the sites of the hand-on training programs.
We wish everyone in the disaster areas to return to their daily research activities as soon as possible.

Satoshi Takahashi, President, Biophysical Society of Japan
