Species name: Poteriodendron sp.

Bureau of Swerage, Tokyo Metropolitan Goverment

Poteriodendron has a length of 10- 35 micrometers. Each cell has a shell like a bell shape so called " Sayanatsugi (= Dinobryon) ". A herd is made using the stem at the cell tail, and the edge of lower herd is adhered to the flock (= agglomerates). While living in the herd poor motility is observed. There is a single flagellum in front of the cell body. In the video, it is observed that large cells stick to flocking with a plurality of small size of Poteriodendron.
