Elongation of actin filament in vitro.

Graduate School of Biostudies, Kyoto University Sawako Yamashiro

Elongation of DyLight549-actin filament attached to the glass surface by NEM-myosin II was observed by using TIRF microscopy. Formin (mDia1)-bound fast elongation (‘ON’) switched to slow, spontaneous elongation (‘OFF’). Bar: 5μm. Reference: Yamashiro et al., Molecular Biology of the Cell (2014) 25:1010-1024.
