An elongated Major Sperm Protein (MSP) fiber

Species name: Ascaris suum

Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, Ube National College of Technology Katsuya Shimabukuro

This video shows that the fiber of MSP is elongating. Nematode sperm is collected and undergone sonication. Then if you add some ATP in the suspension, you are able to observe this phenomenon. In the distal end of this fiber, the multiple MSPs are binding to the top and polymerizing. That is why you are able to observe this amazing phenomenon.
