The request of the questionnaire answers at the time of the annual convention participation registration.
We had been performed activity for gender equality and a young researcher’s problem, such as the symposium plan of the annual convention, the participation in association of study network and in future, we will make planes that are more substantial than previous one by examining several structure and systems. It is extremely important for these activities to grasp the basic data about the woman and the young researchers in the Biophysical Society. Besides, it is necessary not only to collect data temporarily, but also to chase the change of every year.
We thank you heartily for your cooperation on questionnaires at the time of annual convention participation registration of the last year and member list investigation of this year, in which the basic numerical value such as the number of women and that of the young researcher who worked with the term of office, was set to some extent. However, it is still important to catch various opportunities for asking similar questionnaires for the purpose mentioned above.
At the time of the participation registration of every year in particular, there is the information that is not caught when it is not this opportunity. It is the ratio of woman/ young researcher occupied in each research field and the first author and last author, an annual convention symposium etc. This information should be analyzed with the correlation to age range and official post and rank. Therefore, we decided to have you offer the information of the (1) sex, (2) age range, (3) official post and rank at this time.

In fact, we had tried to examine the number of women from the name of members, but there were many names that did not get judgment of the sex unexpectedly. Therefore we are happy when you fill the answer of (1) by all means.
We do not use the answers except that a society takes the information as statistics data.
